Living Conditions

 

The Basset Hound will do okay in an flat (apartment) or small house.

 

The are very inactive indoors (unless food is about)  but outdoors

they will run for hours in play if given the chance.

 

Use Gates to Restrict Movement

 

Care should be taken to restrict where your dog can go. Indoor

gates are a good idea - Bassets will get everywhere if you let them!

 

There are as many design for indoor gates and barriers as there are

breeds of dogs! Our only advice is to seek advice and information

from trusted sources - your vet for example and to consider how

big the dog will become. Don't buy for a puppy, buy for the adult dog.
