I would like to thank the South of England BHC committee, and all the exhibitors for the opportunity to judge this show.

All the exhibits were in lovely clean condition, well presented and full of quality. All mouths had correct bite.

Whilst the weather wasn't the best I really enjoyed my day.

 

 

Junior: 1. Freudenreichs Lockolea Rocket Man. Substantial red and white 16 month old dog. Handsome masculine head, good depth of muzzle, and lovely dark eyes. Tight elbows and deep chest. Well rounded ribs of good length and good bend of stifle. Maintained a level topline on the move.

2. Jones Clanwillow Diamond Miracle. Red and white 11 month old dog. Another lovely head and good ear set with and nice inward curl. Good length of body and well rounded ribs and well rounded hind quarters. I just preferred the movement of 1 on the day.

 

Yearling Dog: 1.Bates Diheath Pyjama at Karames. Dark tri coloured 22 month old dog. Well developed masculine head and dark eyes. Correct ear set. Deep neck and chest, well rounded ribs. Strong hindquarters Moved well obviously enjoying his day.

Graduate Dog: 1. Prices Wellsbayview Sorrento - Res Best Dog 2 year old dark tri well balanced male. Lovely domed head and calm expression. Correct ear set and correct inward curl. Deep forechest fitting into a well constructed front. Well laid back shoulders and rounded ribs, good body length. Nicely angulated rear quarters. Moved with drive maintaining a level topline.

2. Grimshaws Malrich Hey Jude. 2 year old dark tri male. Masculine head, well set ears. Deep keel, ribs well rounded, I just preferred the front construction of 1. Well rounded hindquarters and correct tail set.

 

Limit Dog: 1. Woodworths Armardio Firestarter. Red and white compact 2 year old. Pleasing masculine head and correct ear set and texture. Well laid back shoulders and length of ribcage. Good front construction and nice feet. Rear quarters have correct angulation. Moved with drive.

2.Watkins Blackvein Code Breaker. 2 year old tri dog, of larger mould than 1. Well balanced, with deep keel and well rounded ribs. Good bend of stifle and correct tail set.

3. Grimshaws Malrich Heh Jude.

 

Open Dog: 1. Allchornes Nelgus Thyme Bomb - Best Dog,Best in Show. Dark tri 5 year old male. What a handsome boy, dark eyes with lovely calm expression. Balanced throughout. Good ear set and texture with correct inward curl. Well laid back shoulders and deep keel with correct front construction. Good length of rib and well angulated hind quarters which propelled him round the ring, obviously enjoying himself. He was a pleasure to go over.

 

Minor Puppy Bitch : 1. Joness Braithwells Lil'Red Dress to Clanwillow Best Puppy in Show. 8 month old red and white feminine bitch. Pretty head in correct proportion, lovely calm expression. Well set deep chest and tight elbows. Good body length and well rounded hind quarters.

 

Junior Bitch: 1 Danels Switherland Custard Cream 15 month old red and white bitch. Lovely head, with correct ear set, fine texture and good inward curl. Good deep chest and beautiful front construction, with lovely tight feet. Well balanced, with well rounded ribs carried well back. Correct rear angulation, moved with drive maintaining a level topline.

2 Freudenreichs Lockolea Circle of Life. 16 month old red and white bitch. Of smaller mould than 1. Feminine head, with correct ear set. Good reach of neck and shoulder lay. Well sprung ribs of good length. Good bend of stifle, a nicely made bitch, I just preferred the front of 1.

 

Yearling Bitch: 1.Hards Mellow Molly V Grunsven at Braemoray. Lemon and white 21 month old bitch. Very feminine head of correct proportions and ear set. Good depth of keel. Well constructed front and nice feet. Well sprung of ribs of good length and level topline. Well rounded hindquarters. Moved with drive.

 

Graduate Bitch: 1. Hards Mellow Molly V Grunsven at Braemory

2. Allchornes Nelgus Spring Thyme. Red and white 2 year old. Of larger mould than 1. Lovely head, deep flews and dark eyes with calm expression. Good strong deep neck and depth of keel. Well laid back shoulders and good spring of ribs. Showed herself off well.

 

Limit Bitch: 1. Jones Clanwillow Centuary Dream. Red and white 2 year old bitch. Well balanced with feminine head and correct ear set. Tight elbows and deep keel. Well rounded rib cage. Good hind angulation, moved with drive.

 

Open Bitch 1. Turners Lauralee Dont Stop Me Now of Devonhound Best Bitch, Res Best in Show and Best Opposite Sex. Red and white 2 year old bitch. Beautiful feminine head with lovely calm expression. Good reach of neck and well laid back shoulders, correct front construction with lovely tight feet. Deep keel and good spring of ribs with level topline. Great hind quarters and bend of stifle. Well balanced giving a super outline. Moved soundly out and back.

2. Pearsons and Jones Armardio I'm On Fire. 3 year old red and white bitch of larger mould than 1. Lovely head and dark eyes. Correct ear set and lovely deep keel. Good front construction and well rounded ribs. Good bend of stifle and moved with drive maintaining a level topline. I just preferred the overall outline of 1 today.

3. Thextons Barrenger Harmony. 6 year old red and white bitch. Very feminine head, with lovely dome and correct ear set. Good reach of neck and well rounded ribs. Correct front and rear angulation. A little unsettled today, but moved with drive.

 

Veteran Bitch 1. Allchornes Ch; Diheath Guns Guns N Roses Best Veteran in Show 10 year old red and white bitch. Lovely head and expression. Good front construction and well sprung ribs and depth of keel. She was in lovely condition and still had all her teeth. Moved with drive round the ring.

2. Pearsons Ch. Roamanbay Russia with Love to Armardio. 7 year old red and white bitch. Another grand lady. Beautiful head with deep flews. Deep keel and good ribcage. Correct front and hind construction and moved well maintaining a level topline. I preferred the underskirt of 1 today.
